Software Engineering Manager
Description/Responsibilities:

We’re seeking an individual to help manage the day-to-day engineering tasks for a highly motivated and very dynamic development team. This individual should have current hands-on development experience in object-oriented programming languages, such as Java and C++, that provide the knowledge and experience to manage a team of software engineers utilizing these technologies. Qualified applicants must be interested and voracious in learning and consuming new technologies and mentoring others to become productive utilizing what they have learned. Individual must enjoy a highly dynamic environment requiring interaction with new technologies daily. Successful candidate must be motivated to drive the day-to-day tasks of a team of developers, providing technical guidance and ensuring that tasks are being completed and the software being produced meets the goal of the overall project. Individual will concentrate on the management of tasks, but will also be doing hands-on development.

Requirements:

• 3 - 5 years experience in leading/managing a team of 5-10 software developers
• Possess strong analytical, problem solving, leadership and communication skills a must
• BS Degree in technology related field
• 6+ years of Java and C++ knowledge and experience

Desirable:

• Query language skills are highly desirable
• XML skills, specifically in application integration
