Technical Support Representative
Description/Responsibilities:

The Technical Support Representative will be providing technical software support to end-users of our TigerLogic products. To provide quality support to our customers, qualified applicants require strong technical/application skills, including Windows administration skills, installing and uninstalling Windows applications and the ability to read Windows event and trace logs. Candidates must have experience with Web browsing using IE, Firefox and Safari. Mac skills are a plus. Microsoft Office skills are required, specifically in-depth experience with PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Customer issues will be technical so the candidate must have strong problem solving skills and be able to fully consolidate and document technical problems. Candidates must be able to follow a thread of troubleshooting with an analytical mind.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years technical experience supporting software products/applications
• Experience with Windows, Windows applications, Microsoft Office and Web browsers are a must
• Knowledgeable with the installation and use of Web browser plug-ins and experience with Anti-Virus and Firewall Security software
• Must be customer service oriented and have a positive personality that projects an excellent image of TigerLogic Corporation
• Excellent communication skills a must and the ability to communicate effectively via the phone and email
• Flawless grammar and spelling skills is imperative
• Quick learner and ability to retain that knowledge in order to communicate with our customers

Desirable:

• Knowledge of the Mac desktop environment and advanced knowledge of Web browser technologies are a plus
• Experience with Web research and wide-ranging document research a plus
• Supervisory or management experience also considered a plus
