Data Corporation
IRVINE, CA. – March 15, 2007 Raining Data Corporation (Nasdaq: RDTA) has been included in the list of “Cool Vendors” in the “Cool Vendors in Life Sciences, 2007” report by Gartner, Inc., authored by Dale Hagemeyer, Carol Rozwell and David Newman. Raining Data was named in the Gartner Report, which evaluates five vendors with unique offerings that early adopters in life sciences can use to differentiate themselves in new product development and commercialization in this highly competitive industry. Raining Data’s TigerLogic Clinical Trials Data Services (CTDS) allows drug sponsors to aggregate clinical trial data in real time from Clinical Research Organizations (CRO) to provide real-time visibility across all trials. TigerLogic CTDS accepts clinical data in any format and from any Electronic Data Capture (EDC) system used by the CRO. This data is validated based on business or regulatory rules (such as 21 CFR Part 11) and transformed into the industry standard Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium Operational Data Model (CDISC ODM). Other associated research information can be combined with this clinical data to provide a single view of the study. In addition, this real-time data can be used by other systems, like safety systems, to ensure consistency and accuracy. TigerLogic CTDS is built on the TigerLogic XML data management and workflow server platform, which provides the flexibility to handle the many different and evolving data schemas and business rules.
