SUPPORT FOR MICROSOFT® .NET™ FRAMEWORK

Raining
Data Corporation (Nasdaq: RDTA), a long-time provider of scaleable,
flexible and reliable data management software, today announced
the support for the Microsoft .NET Framework with the availability
of the Pick® Data Provider for .NET. The Pick Data Provider
allows D3®, UniData® and UniVerse® database
platform users to take advantage of the .Net Framework by utilizing
Microsoft Visual Studio® .NET. A Data Provider in the .NET
Framework serves as a bridge between an application and a data
source. Raining Data’s Pick Data Provider for .NET is designed
to provide additional functionality by exposing the inherent
capabilities of the Pick Data Management Environment when developing
or deploying applications with the Microsoft .NET Framework.

product is available as development and deployment software
licenses:

The
Pick Data Provider component for Visual Studio .NET is tightly
integrated with the .NET Framework. It allows software developers
to build Client/Server applications, Web applications or Web
services using any of the programming languages supported through
the .NET Common Language Runtime (CLR). These include but are
not limited to ASP.NET, VB.NET, C#, C++.NET and J#.

AVAILABILITY
AND PRICING
Pick
Data Provider for .NET is available immediately for early adopters
for Raining Data’s D3 database platform and for the
UniData and UniVerse (U2™) database platforms from IBM®.
Full production release for D3 is anticipated by
June 2003. Pricing is starting at $495 per Developer software
license and $200 per Database Server Access License.

within the latest Microsoft architecture with minimal additional
