Report
on OzOmnis.
The first OzOmnis conference was a great success. Many of the
best Omnis developers in Australia and New Zealand traveled
to OzOmnis to attend technical sessions and powerful demonstrations.
Attendees were treated to examples of touch screen techniques,
handwriting recognition, signature capture, voice control, modem
and mobile data communications and biometric security integrated
in an Omnis application. A demonstration of a graphical wiring
diagram tool was received with great interest. Hosted by the
DLA Group, the format was similar to the EurOmnis and AmerOmnis
all-inclusive hotel, meal, and conference package. Extended
sessions at this event allowed greater depth of material presentation.
This winning event allowed attendees to immerse themselves in
all things Omnis.
Plans
for AmerOmnis 2003 now officially underway.
The organizers of AmerOmnis are pleased to announce the second
annual AmerOmnis Conference. AmerOmnis 2003 will take place
at the Ivey Spencer Conference Centre in London, Ontario, Canada,
March 15 - 20, 2003. AmerOmnis, the North American counterpart
of the highly acclaimed, long-standing EurOmnis, along with
OzOmnis in Sydney, Australia, is one of the three conferences
put on by the Omnis developer community worldwide each year.
For complete details on the upcoming conference, please visit

Raining
Data’s success on the road in Europe.
In October, the UK Omnis sales team exhibited at the WebSolutions
2002 trade show in Olympia, London. The show ran alongside Linux
Expo and the Application Development Adviser conference aimed
at IT managers and decision makers. It proved to be a great
place to meet Web developers and solution providers. Recently,
representatives from Raining Data’s German office were
on the road demonstrating Omnis Studio and D3 at
trade shows throughout Europe. These shows included the LinuxWorld
Conference and Expo in Frankfurt Germany; The Systems Fair in
Munich, a show that caters exclusively to the trade IT and telecoms
industry; and the Orbit/Comdex Europe show held in Switzerland.
Orbit/Comdex is the European counterpart to the Comdex show
held in Las Vegas. Orbit/Comdex Europe gears itself towards
business solutions, software and IT services. Thanks to these
shows for generating many new contacts and interest in Raining
Data products and our Web development capabilities!
See
Us at International Spectrum 2003.
Raining Data is once again looking forward to presenting and

about today’s newest Web, GUI and Reporting tools being
developed for our industry. Come meet with us and learn how
our products can help transform your existing character-based
