We have your email, but how about your support staff?
A new email notification system has been put in place by our support
department. This email system is being set up to work in conjunction
with and not replace current phone support and will help provide
timely updates to ongoing calls. Please be sure we have your correct
email address on file when placing your support calls so you won't
miss any notifications.
Do you
need a temporary activation from the support department?
The answer is, probably not. For additional temporary users or evaluation/demo
copies, please contact the Raining Data sales department. Sales
will take appropriate action to get you the media and/or additional
System ID required to meet your needs. The support department will
no longer provide any temporary activations without sales approval

Studio Tech Tip: HTML Report Task Wizard.
Did you know the HTML report task wizard creates a remote task that
generates an HTML report on the fly and returns it to the client?
The $construct() method contains code to print a report to HTML using
the temp directory object, and return a URL or error message to the
client. The wizard lets you base your HTML report on an existing Omnis
report class. You can also specify the folder where the temporary
report pages are placed, and you can add an object class to your library
to clean out the contents of the temporary folder after a timeperiod
has elapsed. In addition, you can add the new HTML report task to
the Monitor task. See the Webdev.pdf manual for more information about
the available task and report wizards in Omnis Studio. It is available
for download at http://www.omnis.net.

Clayton announces new TST package.
Clayton (CC&M) LTD, an IT consultancy service to companies in
the UK, recently announced the launch of their latest software application
product designed and written in D3 and mvDesigner. The Clayton TsT
software application package manages the production of Stage Payment
(or Milestone) Invoices and is particularly valuable to companies
that sell high value products and services. Clayton TsT is a very
versatile package ideally suited to both small and large users.
CC&M found that D3 offered two very important features: the
versatility of a multi-platform base and the ability to import data
from other systems in a seamless manner. mvDesigner provided the
excellent client window usability including the ability for report
writing and transfer of data into other applications such as Microsoft
Excel. For detailed information about CC&M and Clayton TsT software,
visit www.ccam.co.uk.
Amplexus
introduces new VB tool.
The company's new graphical tool allows their programming staff
to create true graphical applications completely from within D3.
By isolating the presentation layer and business logic, Amplexus
is able to leverage their existing legacy application by utilizing
FlashCONNECT middleware to interface to today's HTML, VB, C++ and
Java technology. Read the full story.
For more information about Amplexus and their new graphical interface
to Advantage software, contact Ken Levin at 415-382-0111, ken@amplexus.com,
