Raining Data is pleased to announce the general availability of mvDesigner version 3.0. With mvDesigner, developers can leverage their application’s existing business rules to deploy event-driven GUI front-end applications for client/server and Web applications.

The new features and functionality in mvDesigner 3.0 take advantage of the powerful Omnis Studio 4.0 object-oriented rapid application development environment for faster, more efficient creation of Enterprise and Web solutions, and increased developer and user productivity.

What's New in mvDesigner 3.0?

mvDesigner 3.0 delivers significant improvements in open connectivity and combines a collection of patches and product fixes reported to our technical support department.

Availability

mvDesigner 3.0 supports applications running on AIX, Linux, Sun, and Windows-based Web servers and is compatible with the D³ and mvBase releases below. To develop and deploy mvDesigner 3.0 solutions, a FlashCONNECT 3.5 server license is required (mvDesigner 3.0 is certified on the FlashCONNECT 3.5 release only).

• D³ NT version 7.4 with Service Pack 3 or later
• D³ UNIX version 7.3 with ABS Patch 7.3.A106 or later
• D³ UNIX version 7.4 with ABS Patch 7.4.A137 or later
• mvBase 2.0 with Patch Set 3 or later on Windows platform
