NT 7.4 is certified for usage in these environments:
As
a server (the terms 'server' and 'client' are defined
below):
-
As a server over Windows XP Professional 1a, Windows
2000
Professional, Server and Advanced Server with Service
Pack 4,
and Windows Server 2003 Enterprise, Standard, and Web
editions
recommended.

As a client over Windows 2000 and Windows XP Professional.

NT 7.4 is NOT certified for usage in the following
environments:
- As
a server or client over any version Windows NT Server
4.0.
-
As a server in conjunction with .NET Enterprise Server
technologies.
- As
a server over Windows 2000 Datacenter Server.
-
As a server over Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows
ME.
- As
a client over Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, and
Windows XP Home.
- As
a server over Windows 2003 Datacenter Edition.

is always being enhanced for efficiency and new functionality.
These enhancements have not been implemented over
95/98/ME and
D3 NT 7.4 will not install or activate as a server
over these
environments.
Note:
Microsoft has defined Windows ME as a product strictly
for home usage, and Windows 2000 as the platform for
all levels of business usage.
The
term "certified" means our Quality Assurance Department
and Beta sites have conducted rigorous testing of all
supported features in a given environment, and has verified
proper functionality. As part of our Beta
Program, this release has been tested by Value-Added
Resellers and End-Users in an effort to improve the quality
of the products delivered to you. Our Thanks
& Recognition are extended for their valuable contributions.
Non-certified
environments cannot be supported and should therefore
not be installed in end-user environments.
Terms:
Server - This is suitable for a single system
using a Virtual Machine Environment (VME), for backward
compatible applications as well as Visual Basic, ODBC,
or COM compliant applications.
Client - Installs a workstation that acts
exclusively as a client (D3 File Manager or RPC application).
This option is not necessary for ODBC applications.
