Importing Dictionary Items

In this step we import file dictionary items into the Pick Data Provider dictionary repository. This allows Pick Data Provider libraries access to the dictionary items of the exposed files.

To import dictionary items:

  1. Double-click the file name from the tree view.

The Dictionary Items dialog box displays.

 

 

  1. Click Import.

  2. Click Yes when prompted to verify the import.

  1. Click OK.

The dictionary items for the specified file are imported. For the purpose of this tutorial, import the dictionary items for all exposed files.

NOTE–

In D3, you must import the dictionary items of program files to edit BASIC programs.
