Overview

Pick Reporting Services Connector allows Microsoft SQL Server 2000
Reporting Services users access to Pick Data. Microsoft's Reporting 
Services allow users to create, manage, and deliver both paper-oriented and 
interactive, Web–based reports.

Pick Reporting Services Connector makes use of these environments:

o Report Designer

  Graphical report development environment in Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003
  that contains the various tools used to create, manage, and deploy reports
  to the Web.

o Report Server
  
  Web server to which all reports are deployed and from which all reports
  are accessed.

General Requirements

The requirements below are the minimum general requirements for anyone
installing Pick Reporting Services Connector on Windows. This
software is required whether you are installing the Report Server, the
Report Designer, or both applications.

o Microsoft SQL Server 2000 with the latest service packs

o Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services

o Visual J# .NET Version 1.1 Redistributable Package. This file can be
  downloaded from the Microsoft Web site at:

  http://msdn.microsoft.com/vjsharp/downloads/howtoget/default.aspx

NOTE: Pick Reporting Services Connector is not supported on Microsoft
      XP Home Edition.

Report Server Requirements

The requirements below are the minimum software requirements for
installing the Report Server.

One of these operating systems with the latest service packs:

o Windows 2000 Server or Advanced Server

o Windows 2003 (any edition)

  NOTE:	If you are running Windows 2003, you must also install Microsoft
        SQL Server hotfix 0859 as shown in Knowledge Base article 821334.

o Pick Data Provider for .NET Runtime Library (required only for users 
  that do not have the Pick Data Provider Software Development Kit (SDK)
  installed)

Report Designer Requirements

The requirements below are the minimum software requirements for installing
the Report Designer.

One of these operating systems with the latest service packs:

o Windows 2000

o Windows XP Professional

o Windows 2003 (any edition)

One of these Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 editions:

o Enterprise Architect Edition

o Enterprise Developer Edition

o Professional

o Microsoft Visual Basic .NET 2003

o Pick Data Provider for .NET Runtime Library (required only for users 
  that do not have the Pick Data Provider Software Development Kit (SDK)
  installed)

NOTE: Pick Data Provider Reporting Services is not supported on Microsoft
      XP Home Edition.
