This tutorial illustrates how to deploy a report project. These features are highlighted:
Building, deploying and accessing reports
To deploy a report project:
Select Project > SampleReports Properties (note that SampleReports is the name of the project in this tutorial).
The Property Pages dialog box displays.
Type the URL to which the project will be deployed in the Target Server URL textbox (for example, http://hostname/ReportServer), then click OK.
Select Debug > Start.
If a password is required to access the specified server, a dialog box displays prompting for the password.
Enter the password in the Password textbox, and then click OK.
A list of hyperlinks to the newly created reports displays in a browser.
Select each report from the browser to test the functionality.
Note that the screen used to test the reports during deployment is for testing purposes only. Users will access actual deployed reports from this URL:
http://hostname/reports/
where hostname is the name of your Report Server.
